Your Questions, Answered
-
Once we’ve discussed your project, I’ll send through a proposal outlining everything we’ve chatted about, including the recommended scope, pricing, timeline and next steps. If you’re happy to move forward, simply process the deposit and I’ll take care of the rest.
-
Your proposal is designed to give you a clear picture of what working together will look like. You’ll find information on pricing, timelines, project inclusions and everything you need to confidently decide whether we’re the right fit.
-
Yes. A deposit is required to activate your project and lock in your agreed timeframe. Once that’s taken care of, you can relax knowing your project is officially in the calendar and we’re working towards your website goals together.
-
Most projects require a 50% deposit. If you need a different payment arrangement, just reach out. I understand that every person and business is different and I’m always happy to have a conversation.
-
Absolutely, and many clients do. You might still be organising content, planning a photoshoot or refining your services. Booking ahead simply gives you a dedicated project timeframe to work towards while taking the pressure off securing availability later.
-
As early as possible is always ideal, especially if you’re working towards a launch, event or important business milestone. Even if your preferred start date is a few months away, securing your place early can make the process much smoother.
-
That’s completely okay. Most clients don’t come to me with a fully mapped out plan. Part of my job is helping you determine what will work best for your business, your goals and your budget.
-
Absolutely. If you have a specific date or even a preferred launch week in mind, let me know as early as possible. The more notice we have, the easier it is to plan around content, revisions and any technical requirements that may arise along the way.
-
Depending on my availability, I may be able to accommodate priority projects. These are assessed on a case by case basis and may incur a rush fee. If you’re working with a tight deadline, simply reach out and I’ll let you know what’s possible. A rush fee may apply.
-
There are no ongoing fees payable to ONYX once your project has been completed unless you’ve engaged me for additional services. Depending on your website platform, you’ll typically have a website subscription and domain renewal costs to keep your website online, and I’ll make sure you’re aware of these before we begin.
-
Ideally, yes. I always encourage clients to own their domain wherever possible. If the thought of domains and technical setup makes your eyes glaze over, don’t worry, I can absolutely help guide you through the process and make it as simple as possible.
-
In most cases, yes. Your current website can remain online while I build your new one behind the scenes. When it’s time to launch, we’ll discuss the best approach to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible.
